BAD SEED'S PRICING FORMULA
I am often asked how I come up with my prices for my dolls. Rather than just
"come up" with a price, I use a pricing formula. And I use the same formula for each
piece accordingly.
Every hour spent on a piece is documented. As is the list of materials, amount of each that was needed, and cost of everything that was used. Materials can vary. A typical list would include: Clay, copper tubing, glass eyes, mohair, various fabrics, fur and, leather. Embellishments such as feathers, beads, sequins, crystals, feathers, etc. Only the highest quality Materials are used in the creation of a Bad Seed doll.
Lastly would be my hourly rate. A doll takes aproximately 100 hours to make. That can vary depending on the complexity of each piece. My rate per hour is $9.00 ( Canadian minimum wage is currently $10.25).

Materials + Hours@ $9.00/hour = Your doll's price
